Terms of Use

CHRP is a performance and awareness tool. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and does not determine fitness for duty, employment suitability, or clinical status.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the CHRP app or mychrp.ai (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Service description

CHRP provides Emotional Performance Intelligence derived from your music listening behavior. The app connects to Apple Music or Spotify via official OAuth APIs (read-only) to generate your EPI Score™ — a weekly measure of your emotional performance state across five dimensions — and offers curated playlists to help you move toward a desired mindset. CHRP does not modify your library or create playlists in your streaming account without your explicit action.

3. Account and access

You must create an account to use the full Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@chrp.ai if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Music platform connections

To use CHRP, you must connect at least one supported streaming service (Apple Music or Spotify). You authorize CHRP to access your listening history and playlist data from connected services via OAuth. This access is read-only — we do not store your Apple ID credentials, Spotify login credentials, or payment information for those services. You can revoke access at any time through your Apple or Spotify account settings. Your use of connected services remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Apple Music and Spotify are trademarks of their respective owners. CHRP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. or Spotify AB.

5. Subscription and billing

CHRP offers a 30-day free trial followed by a paid subscription ($7.99/month or $69/year). Prices may change with notice. Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment, renewals, and refunds are handled through your platform store account. You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not issue prorated refunds unless required by applicable law or your platform store's policies. If your trial has not ended, cancellation before trial expiration will not result in a charge.

6. User responsibilities

You agree to use CHRP for lawful personal purposes only. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service or its outputs. You may not use CHRP to make decisions about other people's mental health, employment suitability, or fitness for duty, and you may not represent EPI Score™ results as clinical or diagnostic assessments.

7. Prohibited use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it; (d) scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without authorization; (e) use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service; (f) attempt to infer the EPI scores or listening data of other users; or (g) misrepresent CHRP's capabilities or outputs in any public-facing context.

8. Your data and privacy

Your individual EPI Score™ and listening behavior data are private to you. They are never shared with any employer, coach, organization, or third party without your explicit consent. In any organizational deployment of CHRP, organizations see only anonymous aggregate trends — never individual user data. This is an architectural design property of the Service, not a permission setting. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Intellectual property

CHRP® is a registered trademark of Journey One LLC. EPI Score™ is a trademark of Journey One LLC. All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Journey One LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and payment processors. We are not responsible for the availability, terms, or practices of those third-party services. Links to third-party sites do not constitute endorsement.

11. Disclaimers

CHRP IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. The Service does not diagnose medical or psychological conditions, does not determine fitness for duty or employment suitability, does not infer precise emotional states with clinical-grade accuracy, and is not a substitute for licensed clinical, psychological, or medical evaluation. EPI Score™ results should not be used as the sole basis for medical, psychiatric, employment, or legal decisions. Individual results may vary. CHRP does not guarantee any specific performance outcomes. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOURNEY ONE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may delete your account from within the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Williamson County, Tennessee, or resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules, except where prohibited by applicable law. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
